Site C Main Civil Works – Winter Update

During the winter months, the PRHP team will continue to be hard at work at the Site C dam site.

Meet David: A PRHP Summer Student

Peace River Hydro Partners is proud to have students working with us on the Site C Clean Energy project this summer.

Meet David Martin, a summer student in our Environmental Department from Hudson’s Hope, BC. David will be returning to UBC in the fall to finish the fourth year of his environmental engineering degree.

David had the opportunity to meet with outgoing Premier Christy Clark during her visit to the Site C Project in June 2017.

David currently works on the project as an Environmental Monitor, which consists of documenting and reporting activities throughout the project. Environmental Monitors work closely with the construction teams to ensure environmental compliance is maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.

David was born and raised in Hudson’s Hope, BC and has had the opportunity to work on both the Peace Canyon Dam and the W.A.C Bennett Dam in the past. According to David, having experience on the construction of Site C while in it’s infancy has been invaluable to his studies and his future career path.

When David is not working he enjoys spending time outdoors in the beautiful Peace Region.
