Wuthrich Quarry

PRHP is currently blasting at Wuthrich Quarry on a weekly basis. The above video was taken of one of the blasts in October 2016.

Wuthrich Quarry is a vital part of the main civil works component of the Site C Project, with the various sizes of large aggregate produced used site wide to protect slopes from eroding. The large boulders that are produced at Wuthrich Quarry are called rip rap and it is placed in the river and on the river bank to protect the cofferdams from the powerful Peace River. Wuthrich Quarry has been used for the last twenty years by Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) to produce all sorts of road and bridge building materials.

PRHP recently provided MOTI with emergency rip rap that was used to repair a residential road that washed out.
